Modern Ensuite Transformation

Project Overview

This ensuite renovation was part of a larger home refresh in North Lakes. The original space felt dark, enclosed, and lacked both storage and functional layout. The shower area was cramped, the vanity outdated, and finishes showed signs of wear and moisture damage.

The goal was to create a brighter, modern ensuite that felt open and refined while maintaining practicality for everyday use. The client wanted clean lines, neutral tones, and a low-maintenance finish that would stand the test of time.

Design & Execution

We began with full demolition, removing existing tiles, cabinetry, and fixtures. After inspecting framing and plumbing, minor adjustments were made to improve the shower layout and optimise space flow.

The shower footprint was expanded and fitted with a frameless glass screen to enhance openness. Plumbing rough-in was repositioned to accommodate a floating vanity and wall-mounted tapware. Floor screeding ensured accurate falls toward the waste before QBCC-aligned waterproofing was applied.

Lighting was upgraded with LED mirror illumination and ceiling downlights to create a brighter, more welcoming atmosphere.

The Result

The ensuite now feels twice its original size — bright, modern, and highly functional. The clean aesthetic and thoughtful layout significantly improved daily usability and added measurable value to the property.
